NatCat losses depress the result of HDI Global SE in the financial year 2017
The industrial insurer of the Talanx Group, HDI Global SE, significantly increased its premium income in the financial year 2017. At the same time, the result of the company was depressed by the exceptionally high burden arising from natural catastrophes.

HDI Global SE - UK (HDI) has unveiled plans to launch a new Accident & Health Department within their UK operation. Building upon their group-wide expansion in the class, Kieran Morrin has been employed as its Director.

HDI Global SE posts further growth in first half of 2017
HDI Global SE continued to grow its premium income in the first half of 2017. As at 30 June 2017 gross written premiums amounted to EUR 2.8 (2.7) billion. This is equivalent to an increase of 3.3 percent; growth in the local currencies was only slightly lower at 2.6 percent. Particularly key drivers here were the branches in France, Belgium and Japan.
