The football stadium Estádio Beira-Rio located in the Brazilian city of Porto Alegre has already experienced a great deal: all sorts of different concerts from the Rolling Stones and Paul McCartney through Roger Waters to Elton John. The Football World Championship in 2014 with four group games and the game between Germany and Algeria in round 16. And last but not least, it is the home base for the football club Internacional Porto Alegre, which finished the season as Brazilian Vice-Champion.

Up to 50,842 spectators cheer their team on as soon as the referee blows the starting whistle. This capacity makes it the second largest stadium in Southern Brazil. So far, the club has won four Brazilian championships and is two-time winner of the Copa Libertadores, the most important competition for club football in Latin America – comparable with the Champions League in Europe. In 2006, the team even succeeded in winning the FIFA Club World Cup. Meanwhile, HDI Global SE has established a special relationship with the stadium: Since last year, the company has been the liability insurer for the arena.
