Clinical research is based on researchs to demonstrate the effectiveness of new products. This is an investigation conducted on human subjects to discover or verify the clinical and pharmacological research of a product (eg new drug) or to study how a product search is metabolized to assess the safety or effectiveness. A clinical study can also be designed to develop and evaluate new equipment (medical imaging, ...) or new preventive technics, diagnostic or therapeutic.
Increasingly, clinical trials are subject to strong regulation with compulsory insurance, which varies by country. In France it is 1 million per victim and € 6 million € per test protocol in accordance with the Act “Huriet”. Abroad, it is necessary in each country to comply with the laws or practices.
