Target Market Determinations (TMDs)

A Target Market Determination (TMD) seeks to offer customers, distributors, intermediaries and employees an understanding of the class of customers for which these products have been designed, considering their needs, objectives and financial situation.

It also sets out who can distribute our products, how they can do this, and situations when we may need to review our products and the target market.

Why does HDI Global Specialty SE – Australia need to have Target Market Determinations?

From 5 October 2021, we are required for certain products to have Target Market Determinations under the Treasury Laws Amendment (Design and Distribution Obligations and Product Intervention Powers) Act 2019.

This framework helps us make sure we are keeping customers at the centre of how we design and distribute our products.
